Creating has been a constant throughout my life in many forms. From working with traditional art mediums to building a successful career in hairstyling, using my hands has always come naturally. I am a tactile person drawn to the feeling of paint on my hands.  I love the way paint moves across the canvas, taking on a life of its own while I simply act as the tool.  The process feels like a dance that continues until the piece is complete. 

When my children grew older and needed me less, I returned to my love of making art, focusing on my passion for abstract paintings. This path has taken me through many exciting explorations and allowed me to discover more of myself through abstraction. I believe an artist can truly find who they are in that space.

My work centers on color, texture, and depth. I experiment with layers of colored paper and textured paints to tell a story. Bold brush strokes and vibrant color choices bring energy to each piece. I am always exploring new tools and techniques to achieve fresh results. I am drawn to the vibrancy of color and the way it can shift the mood and energy of a painting.

When someone connects with a piece of art, it is a beautiful experience. A painting can evoke emotions that catch the viewer off guard and create something uniquely personal.  That is what I hope to achieve with my work. Seeing my art through another person's eyes keeps me inspired and encourages me to continue exploring and pushing my own boundaries.
